Several leak reports were indicating Huawei to release a foldable smartphone. Chinese company Huawei has formally and officially introduced its first ever 5G foldable smartphone with the name “Huawei Mate X” in the Pre-Mobile World Congress conference held in Barcelona. This is the second successful foldable 5G smartphone launch in the last few days. Earlier to this, Samsung with its 10th Galaxy anniversary launched its Foldable smartphone “Galaxy Fold”. The starting price of Huawei Mate X is 2,299 Euros (about Rs 2,09,400). This price of the smartphone is for 8GB RAM variant with up to 512GB storage phone.
The new Huawei foldable phone has dual OLED full view HD display panels. Huawei Mate X 5G has a two-in-one camera. This Smartphone uses the high silicon 980 processor. This brand is likely to compete with Samsung Galaxy Fold. The Infinity Flex display was used in the Samsung Galaxy Fold. The Mate X 5G is the company’s first folding display smartphone.
Huawei Mate X smartphone runs on EMUI 9.1.1 based on Android 9 Pie. Huawei Mate X has two full view display panels with a 6.6 inch and another 6.38 inches. After opening the phone, you will get an 8-inch OLED full view display without a notch. When folded, the front side has a 6.6-inch display (1148×2480 pixels) and its aspect is 19.5: 9 in ratio.

The design of this smartphone is quite slim when compared to Samsung’s Galaxy Fold. It has a slightly curved screen which folds backward. Mate X is also special for photography because both the front and rear cameras are given in the sidebar. That is, you can fold the smartphone and take a selfie from the rear camera and that will be quite sharp. While comparing the price it is quite costlier than Samsung fold.
The company claims that 85 percent of its power can be charged in just 30 minutes of power charge. The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the power button of this smartphone for easy interface. This smartphone has two batteries. Huawei says that movie of1GB in Huawei Mate X 5G can be downloaded in just a fraction of seconds.
