The company which has recently topped Wipro and has become the third largest software firm by revenue is HCL Technologies. It has paid the highest salary to its chief executive among the top four IT companies. C Vijaykumar has received Rs. 33.13 crores in the financial year 2017-18.
This was reported in the annual report of HCL Technologies. Vijaykumar was appointed at the helm in the month of October in 2016 and has completed his first term as a Chief Executive Officer and the President in 2017-18.
Vijaykumar received Rs. 33.13 crores from a subsidiary and not from HCL Technologies directly. On the contrary, the former CEO Mr. Vishal Sikka has earned nearly Rs. 13 crore in the FY 18. Salil Parekh has taken charge as the CEO of Infosys in January 2018.

He would be paid an annual compensation of around Rs. 16.25 crore with an equal amount in equity. The CEO of Tata Consultancy Mr. Rajesh Gopinath has earned Rs. 11.02 crores whereas the CEO of Wipro Abidali Neemuchwala’s compensation was Rs. 18.2 crores in FY 18.
According to the, the chairman of HCL Shiv Nadar’s compensation was dropped to 66.25% in the last fiscal year to Rs. 1.64 crore according to the report. The number of employees those who were paid more than Rs. 1 crore at HCL Tech has increased from 23 to 28 with the help of executives like Maninder Singh Narang, Ajit Krishnankutty Kumar, GH Rao and Apparao VV being some of the highest paid.
