Government of India to Launch New Pension & Retirement App Soon!

The central government has now introduced a mobile app that will help the retired public servants to monitor the progress of pension settlements.

The application was launched at an event by Minister of State for PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions.

An official statement said the mobile app would be having all the essential services required regarding utilization of post-retirement compensation and is currently available on the Pensioners’ Portal of the department for iOS and Android.

With this app, the government will impose some monitoring official to keep track of one’s pension and will be able to monitor the progress of his pension settlement.

The retired officials will be able to know their eligible pension through the pension calculator and will also be able to register their grievances and get updates on them and the orders issued by the concerned department.

Government is also going to conduct a workshop on pre-retirement counseling of 300 retiring central government employees pretty soon. The event will be monitored by the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions.

The main objective of this workshop is to create awareness about the post-retirement entitlements as well as an advance planning for life after retirement. There will be four interactive sessions which will cover inter-alia, the roadmap to retirement, medical facilities for pensioners, and re-engagement of retired people for voluntary social activities under ‘Sankalp’

Through this app government also intends to highlight the importance of a will and its relevance with Right to Property Act.

PM Modi will also personally select 17 special pensioners to felicitate them with the Anubhav Award, for their exceptional contribution towards creating an institutional memory for the concerned public departments.
