The Twitter users in India and abroad complained about a particular glitch when ‘likes’ and ‘retweet’ counts started fluctuating a few days ago in February.  The technical glitch took many users by surprise when they experience unnatural deviations in the like and tweet counts. Twitter has reportedly fixed the problem and apologized for the unintentional inconvenience caused to the users.

The arbitrary fluctuations also resulted in many speculations regarding Twitter’s venture to scrutinize and crackdown fake profiles on the platform. Some thought that this was the effect of a censor content posted on the platform by the users.
