Consider the location
As you know the person, anticipate the conversation and choose the location to talk to them. How will they react, will the conversation be heated, sad or will they react aggressively. No matter which place you choose make sure it has the element of privacy.
If you, however, wish to keep the other person’s reaction limited and under control then maybe go to a less private location. Breaking up at a person’s home may seem ideal however it can take a difficult turn if the person yells or worst doesn’t want you to leave afterwards.
Never Lie
You don’t have to be mean but last don’t lie. One or two reasons are enough to explain and please don’t go through the rendition of It’s not you, it’s me. It is a lie that no one appreciates.
