DailyNinja, hyperlocal subscription based delivery startup has now acquired WakeupBasket, which is a Hyderabad based company in a cash and an equity deal as the company is now looking to strengthen its presence in the city.

WakeupBasket is operating in the same space as DailyNinja that is providing an early morning delivery of all the household essentials with milk and the groceries being the major products sold.

The deals mark the second buy out of DailyNinja in Hyderabad after the acquistion of the 4amShop few months ago.

The company was founded in the year 2015 by Satendra Pratap who was then joined by Sai Varaprasad, WakeupBasket works for almost 2,500 orders each day. WakeupBasket is also operating for the past two and half years in Hyderabad.

After this, all the customers WakeupBasket’s will then be transferred to DailyNinja platform as all the employees those eveb include the founders of the company would be joining the DailyNinja team.

This development has taken place after DailyNinja was backed by Sequoia, founded by Anurag Gupta and Sagar Yarnalkar those have secured two consecutive rounds of funding by the Saama Capital followed by the Matrix Partners.

The comapny which is based out in Bangalore is aiming to complete 100,000 transactions in the next six months that almost triples its daily volumes of 35,000.
