Tata Consultancy Services has become the second Indian company attaining the market valuation of more than Rs. 8 lakh crore mark thereby following a surge in its share price. During the afternoon trade, the IT major’s market capitalization (m-cap) stood at Rs 8,01,550.50 crore on BSE.
The shares of TCS have risen by 2 per cent and has become Rs. 2097. Previously, on 23rd August, Reliance Industries was the first Indian company to cross Rs. 8 lakh crore marks following the surge in its price.

TCS is also the country’s most-valued firm in terms of m-cap. On 15th June became the first company to close its trading session with the market valuation of more than 7 lakh crores.
The market valuation of Tata Consultancy Services had gone past Rs. 6 lakh crore levels thereby making it a second company to achieve the milestone after Reliance Industries.
The company has its head quarters in Mumbai and is the first Indian company to close the trading sessions of more than $100 billion market valuation.
