Medical-technology startup iNICU secures pre-Series A funding

Medical-technology startup iNICU (Integrated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), which specialises in providing care for newborns, has raised an undisclosed amount in pre-Series A funding from incubation platform Venture Catalysts.

The company said in a statement that the investment was led by Venture Catalysts angels Vishal Jhunjhunwala¸ Vikas Khandelwal, Dipan Dalal, and Vikas Kapoor. A few other unnamed angel investors participated as well.

iNICU plans to use the fresh capital to foray into the international healthcare market.

Tata Motors unit picks up 26% stake in freight aggregator TruckEasy

Tata Motors Finance Holdings, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Motors Ltd, has picked up a 26% stake in online freight aggregator TruckEasy for an undisclosed amount.

In a statement, Tata Motors said the acquisition was aimed at giving it insight into the technology-driven transformation in the freight logistics space and the market dynamics of intra-city freight movement.

Owned and operated by Loginomics Technologies Solutions Ltd, TruckEasy was launched in 2015 by Nikhil Thomas, Vikram Kodgi, and Avinash Achar. It provides services within Bengaluru.

OYO acquires AblePlus for an undisclosed amount

Hospitality firm OYO on Tuesday said it has acquired Mumbai-based Internet of Things (IoT) technology company AblePlus to enhance and strengthen its technology portfolio.

The company, however, did not disclose financial details of the deal.

With this partnership, OYO aims to create a sustainable ecosystem powered by technology and artificial intelligence for managing hotels and assets, OYO said in a statement.
