Highly productive people are distinguished by very intentional work. They do not just sit and do something. They have a sharp vision of what they want to accomplish today, and proven techniques on how to accomplish it. Here are the top three habits that will transform you into a highly productive person.
1- Start work from your priority.
If you look at your todo list and start working from the easiest task, and then find yourself having only done emails all day, you’re not the only one.
Whenever you complete a task, your brain rewards you releasing a dollop of dopamine, making you feel good. No matter how small the task.
2 – Book uninterrupted time for one task
You sit down, start working on a task, then check your emails for a second. You see an email, but you don’t reply. Yet. You go back to that task.
Highly productive people know that multitasking is a lie, and that there’s a cost to switching tasks constantly.
3 – Plan for tomorrow.
If you start your day without knowing what you want to accomplish, someone else is going to impose their agenda on you. Start with email, a meeting, Slack, and you’ve lost control of your day.
Don’t start the day and do, plan the day and finish.
Highly productive people plan their priority and tasks for the next day before wrapping today up. They know that deciding in the morning will erode their peak willpower and that if they don’t set their direction, someone else will.
Learn to trust people and identify talents in others.
You can easily find people who can do many of your work better than you, if they are trained properly.
Delegate your work as much as you can and focus your attention only in the limited sphere where you are the best and you can produce maximum results.
4. Identify the most effective, Eliminate the rest
Have you ever been just frustrated with your progress?
Your day is filled up to the brim with things you have to do but you just feel like you’re spinning your wheels.
