Prime Minister pledges progress for new India 2022 on the occasion of Independence Day

The security is tightened across the country on the occasion of 72nd Independence day to ensure seamless feat of celebration. “India has become the destination for multi-trillion dollar investments,” said Modi in his Independence Day address. He reiterated his commitment to reforms and time-bound implementation of the schemes which will bring the opportunity to every section of the society and usher in a new India by 2022.

Narendra Modi also listed out the progress which is achieved by the key schemes in the last four years and also added that government is aiming high while setting new goals. “The middle class should not find any difficulty in progressing. The society should get more opportunity to flourish. Women, elders, backward classes, tribals and everyone should get the opportunity to progress as per their desires,” Modi said while giving his vision of new India by 2022.

He also added that the development must not leave anyone behind and it must be balanced across the country irrespective of how the region is geographically far then it may be North East or the Ladakh. Modi likened India’s economy to an elephant which is now running, implying that reforms have accelerated economic growth.

In the next three decades, India will give direction to the global economy,” said the Prime Minister. He said that North Eastern region now has access to highways, waterways and information highways. Modi also said that youngsters are turning entrepreneurs in the North East. “There was a time when the North East felt far removed from Delhi. Today, Delhi is at the doorstep of North East,” said Modi.

While giving his progress report of the NDA administration’s first four years, Prime Minister also said that the roll out of the GST and the bankruptcy code has added to the reform momentum  and have also bolstered the fundamentals of the economy. He said that right from the situation of the delayed reforms and the policy paralysis which were marked in the years before the NDA came into power in the year 2014, the country is known for its commitment to transform, perform and reform.
