Accused of the PNB scam and the fugitive diamond businessman Nirav Modi has been arrested in London. He will be presented at the Court of Westminster. After the arrest, it is expected that he can be brought to India soon. Earlier, the London court issued multiple warrants for the arrest of Nirav Modi. Since then, it was speculated that he could be arrested at any time.

He was earlier seen on the streets of London. Not only that, but he was running a diamond business in London. In a two-minute viral video clip shared on social media, he refuses to answer any question of a journalist in the bank fraud case of worth Rs 13,000 crore.

Nirav Modi is getting screwed up in India too. It is now reported that the PMLA court has allowed 11 cars and 173 paintings of Neerav Modi for auction. This permission was sought by the Enforcement Directorate. The court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Nirav Modi’s wife too!

The political war on the arrest has begun. While the BJP is telling it the success of the government, Congress is giving it an electoral stance. Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that BJP had only helped him escape from India. Now he is being brought back. She BJP has brought him (Nirvav Modi) for the election.

After the Punjab National Bank scandal came to light, Nirav was constantly cheating Indian investigating agencies. Despite the cancellation of the passport by the Indian Foreign Ministry, he had traveled in three countries. But he is finally arrested from London. It is said that in order to benefit Nirav, the PNB officials used the wrong methods. This led to his company getting money from foreign banks. After the disclosure of the scandal, in January 2018, Nirav Modi escaped from India. After his escape, ED had filed a case of money laundering against him and several others under the provisions of PMLA on February 15, 2018. Since then, several investigating agencies including ED, CBI were looking for him.

Nirav had done this scam in union with his relative Mehul Chauksi. Neerav Modi and his uncle Mehul Chauksi were in the midst of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and ED investigation. So far their assets worth Rs 4,765 crore have been seized.
