Britain’s Westminster Court has issued an arrest warrant against Nirav Modi. Now any time London police can arrest him. Police will present him on the court on March 25. In fact, the defaulter Nirav Modi, who was refused to pay more than 13 thousand crores of banks, was seen roaming in the streets of London a few days ago. After this, the red corner notice has been issued against him. Britain’s Westminster Court took this matter seriously and issued an arrest warrant against him.

The Ministry of External Affairs had stated that they had requested for the arrest of Nirav Modi in August 2018. They requested extradition on the basis of the information received from the ED and the CBI. Nirav Modi’s passport was canceled by Indian Government last year. Despite this, he was constantly doing foreign visits. CBI had written a letter to all the 190 countries of Interpol to stop him. According to reports, he had 6 passports, of which there are at least three Indians passports.

However, after the arrest, Nirav Modi has the option of going to court for bail. The court can give him bail on some conditions and money. According to sources, a team of CBI and ED from India will now be leaving for London. Meanwhile, several Indian, in this case, is constantly in touch with the UK High Commission and the Indian High Commission in London.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar stated that they are taking action for the arrest of Nirav Modi. He also stated that “In London, he appeared, it does not mean that we will bring him to India immediately. There is a process for this, which the Indian agencies are doing.”

Opposition parties have consistently been accusing the central government of BJP about Nirav Modi. They stated that due to the government’s failure, defaulters like Nirav Modi, Vijay Malya have succeeded in escaping India. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced many times that the defaulters who have taken away the money of India, will be punished and continuous efforts are being made for this. There is a hope that the arrest of Nirav Modi can be awaited by the warrant issued by UK’s Westminster Court. After this, he can be brought back to India.
