Kaun Banega Crorepati has been an Indian TV reality show that has now turned into a household sensation. After 8 complete seasons and 9th one on the air, this show has not only entertained people along with the impartment of knowledge but has also given hope and changed so many lives by the prize money it offers.
Kaun Banega Crorepati or just KBC, has been a show of high reputation and every season has got one or more billionaire, some of them almost raised to fame from the rags.
Also, to its good name, the show has been majorly hosted by the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and one season by the king of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan.
Its ongoing season is already a hit but a recent update has made it even more sensational:
Anamika Majumdar from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, has become the first crorepati of the KBC 9.
Anamika is a married woman having two kids and a social worker. She runs an NGO called Faith In India – Female Aura.
According to the sources, after winning 1 crore, she has decided to quit the show after she couldn’t answer the jackpot question of Rs. 7 crore.
The episode was just shot yesterday and is yet to air.
Till now, in Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 which had premiered on August 28, none of the contestants could take a crore back home so far.
The highest win before Anamika was Biresh Choudhary from Haryana who won Rs. 50 lakh.
Anamika has said that she would invest her winning amount in her NGO that works for rural areas of Jharkhand.
As the episode is to be aired on one of the forthcoming Fridays, the viewers would get to see badminton champion P.V. Sindhu as the arrived guest.
