Microsoft founder Bill Gates (64) has resigned from the post of the board of directors. The company gave this information on 13th march at late at night. Consequently, Bill Gates, the world’s second-richest, now wants to do social work on a global scale. He will work on health, education and climate change and wants to devote more time in it.

He co-founded the company in 1975 and made Microsoft the world’s largest software development company.

In 2008, he founded the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, an organization for public welfare. He donated about 355 crore rupees to the institution in 2018. Gates served at the board of directors at Microsoft since 2014. The current CEO of the company, Satya Nadella, has described it as a significant loss for Microsoft. moreover, in a statement issued by the company, it is stated that after the resignation of Bill Gates, there will be only 12 Board of Directors in the company.

I will continue to work with Satya and technical leadership to set the vision for the company and achieve ambitious goals. ” Bill Gates’s name is regularly listed in the record of world’s wealthiest people. It is said that he started programming from the age of 13.

Gates is currently 64 years old and has been working at Microsoft for more than a decade. He is currently working as a consultant to the company’s current CEO Satya Nadela in areas such as Productivity, Health Software and Artificial Intelligence and will continue to do so.
