  1. The path has been cleared for the proposed complete privatization of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a state-owned petroleum company. The Modi government had recently repealed BPCL’s nationalization law. Due to which all the hurdles are over. In such a situation, the government will not need to get permission from Parliament to sell BPCL to private or foreign companies.
