But in the year 2020, these big e-commerce companies may face challenges because Reliance Retail Ltd of Reliance Industries Ltd, owned by India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, has launched ‘Jio Mart.’
Reliance Industries (RIL) of Mukesh Ambani has finally entered the e-commerce market. The company has launched My Jio Mart to compete with Amazon and Flipkart. Reliance is promoting Jio Mart as ‘Desh Ki Nayi Dukaan.’ Jio Mart is currently available as a pilot project in Navi Mumbai, Thane and Kalyan areas for online shopping. Reliance Retail officials have made it clear that the company will soon take Jio Mart’s presence in a big way all over the country.
Users To Get Huge Advantages
Jio has always provided huge offers to its users. More than 50,000 grocery products can be offered in the new venture. Facilities like free home delivery without any minimum order price returns without question and promise of fast delivery will be provided at Jio Mart. By giving this attractive offer, Reliance will attract customers who currently buy grocery products from Amazon and Flipkart. Reliance Retail has also started taking pre-registration for Jio mart to start its e-commerce operations business.
Initially, Reliance has sent an invitation to all its Jio users to take advantage of the rebate at the earliest. Not only this, but the company is also launching the Jio Mart app soon. Reliance Retail has already started the BETA version of the food and grocery app for its employees. Also its testing is in progress.
Earlier in the AGM held on August 12, 2019, Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance is going to change the appearance of the grocery market soon. Reliance plans to create the world’s largest online-to-offline e-commerce market in the country. Under Reliance’s new retail plan, the high-speed digital platform will get connected to grocery stores. This process will help supply orders to customers.
