It has been quite a while that Ratan Tata has been an active investor in startups. There are some big names such as Paytm, Cardekho, Zivame, Ola and more that are backed by him. At the same, he’s the first Indian to invest in Chinese technology company Xiaomi.

Here is a list of other startups which are little-known and backed by Ratan Tata.

Abra

Similar to Paytm, Abra is another mobile wallet for all. One can fund the Abra account with their bank account as well as Bitcoin or cash by visiting an Abra center in your locality. Later you can use the app to send and receive money worldwide with no additional sending fees. It also allows you to make purchases online wherever Abra or Bitcoin is accepted. Dogspot is an online pet care company based in Gurgaon. According to the reports recorded in 2016, they handle around 60,000 orders on a monthly basis and the average basket size is of Rs 1,700. They are also known to promote pet related content and events.

Kyazoonga

IdeaChakki is a startup related to food tech based in New Delhi and was found in 2013. The company creates digital video menus for restaurants. It also allows customers to gift food and beverages across the globe.

HolaChef

HolaChef is a food ordering and delivery service providers. However, they don’t deliver food from a restaurant but delivers the signature dishes from the chefs themselves. Currently, HolaChef is only available in Mumbai.

Ampere

Ampere is a Coimbatore based manufacturing startup and markets electric vehicles such as battery-operated electric cycles, two or three wheelers etc.

GOQii

GOQii is a US based startup that makes a fitness tracker for its users for personalized health and fitness solutions.
