Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has died after battling from cancer for a long time. Over the past few days, his health had deteriorated. After this, he was admitted to Goa Medical College for further treatment. Doctors tried to improve his condition, but his condition continued to fall and became critical. On his demise, the whole country is immersed in sorrow. Several politicians have expressed deep anguish and sorrow. Manohar Parrikar, who was the Chief Minister of Goa and also the Defense Minister of the country, was a living a life full of simplicity.
President of India Ramnath Kovind has condoled the death of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. During the falling health of Goa CM Manohar Parrikar, BJP had stated on Sunday that the party had started to consider the political change in the state. Appealing people not to pay attention to rumors, the party also said that the Goa state government is stable. BJP state media coordinator Sandhu Sadhele said in a statement, “Our BJP leadership in Delhi and Goa is very strong, stable and we have started thinking about the political change in Goa.
Earlier the Congress party had present the claim of forming a government on 16 March in Goa. The party had claimed that after the demise of BJP legislator Francis D’Souza, the Manohar Parrikar government has lost its majority in the Assembly.
Parrikar was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer in February last year. After this, he had undergone treatment in hospitals in New York, Delhi, Mumbai, and Goa. After that, he was treated in his private residence near Panaji. Manohar Parrikar completed his graduation from IIT Bombay in the year 1978. He was the first person to become the Chief Minister of any state of India, who is an IIT Graduate.
