Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed his name on Twitter. He has changed the name of his twitter handle under the “Mai Bhhi Chowkidar hun” campaign to Chowkidar Narendra Modi. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president Amit Shah has also written Chowkidar in front of his name on Twitter.

Seeing the leaders, all the major leaders and workers of BSP have now joined the race to change their names. In response to Rahul Gandhi’s “Chowkidar chor hai” slogan, BJP has started the “chowkidar” campaign. The motive is to entice the public from the “chowkidar” campaign this time like the “Chai-Wala” campaign launched in 2014. Congress President Rahul Gandhi had earlier repeatedly attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speeches and said ‘Chowkidar chor Hai’. Now the same attack of the opposition has been included in the BJP’s election campaign. The voting for the Lok Sabha elections will begin on April 11. The polling in seven phases will end on May 19. Election results will come on May 23.

The battle of the Lok Sabha elections has started. The ruling BJP is busy in finalizing its strategy. In this episode, BJP launched ‘Mai Bhahi Chowkidar’ campaign today. Modi said that everyone who is working hard for the progress of India is a watchman. He said, ‘Every Indian today is saying that I am also chowkidar’. PM Modi has often come to portray himself as a “chowkidar” who will not allow corruption or any dirty politics.

The campaign to start writing this the name started from 11 o’clock on 17th March. Within nearly an hour, everyone had renamed their twitter handles aside some senior ministers. When Modi was involved in applying chowkidar in front of all the ministers including Piyush Goyal, Thawar Chand Gahlaut and Smriti Irani, then top Ministers like Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, and Nirmala Sitharaman were not involved in this campaign.

Union minister and BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad tweeted that all the people who are contributing to making the country honest and strong are working like Chowkidar against corruption. In his tweets, he has appealed people to support PM Modi in the fight against corruption.
