Who Is PewDiePie And Why Is He Such A Sensation?

PewDiePie has been an Internet sensation for a long time now. His videos are popular across the world and they have made him filthy rich!

But who is he?

The Internet sensation recently came into highlights in India as he trolled an Ekta Kapoor’s TV show Kasam Se on Twitter. The tweet didn’t go well with Ekta who replied to him in a similar way and it soon became a scene worth talking about. 

However, for those who don’t know much about PewDiePie, here are some facts about him. PewDiePie’s full name is Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg. Even though he was born in Sweden, he currently lives and works in Brighton, England. He enjoys living in Brighton because he is not much popular there. Playing video games and commentary got him all this popularity. 

However, his early days were not very easy though. He had to sell hot dogs to financially support himself and his YouTube channel. In 2012, he got the return of his hard work as his channel got 1 million plus subscribers. The rest, as they say, is history.

Right now his channel has more than 62 million subscribers. 

PewDiePie is a great supporter of independent video game producers.

Earlier his channel’s name was PewDie. Pew means the sound of a laser gun and the rest is obvious. When he lost the password of his original account, he started a new one with name PewDiePie. PewDiePie has also been honoured at many prestigious award functions.

He was listed in Time Magazine’s 30 most influential people on the Internet in 2015 and was the Highest paid Youtuber in 2016.

He got his first television series named Scare PewDiePie in 2016.

His girlfriend and business partner’s name is Marzia Bisognin. They are together since 2011. The massively successful YouTube vlogger recently proposed to his long-time girlfriend Marzia Bisognin, formerly known as CutiePieMarzia, according to their recent social posts.

Bisognin announced the news on her Instagram account with a post that reads, “Felix proposed!!”

Meanwhile, Kjellberg posted the same picture with the caption, “She said she’ll think about it…” on Twitter.

PewDiePie edits his videos on his own and has never hired an editor because he wants to keep the integrity of a real YouTube video. PewDiePie also does charity and his fans are known as Bros. He claims that his religious beliefs fall under agnostic atheist ideology. He has his own video game called PewDiePie: Legend Of The BroFist which was released in September 2015 on iOS and Android.
