AI startup Orbo raises funds

Mumbai-based Orbo, a computer vision, and AI imaging startup has received an undisclosed amount of funding from the London-based Founders Factory in a Seed+ round.

Founders Factory will build a bespoke plan of support for Orbo across a range of functions including product and go-to-market strategies, fundraising, business development, and growth helping the company to scale across Europe.

Zoctr Health raises an undisclosed amount of funding from NB Ventures

Home healthcare startup Zoctr Health has raised an undisclosed amount of funding in its new funding round from Dubai based NB Ventures. A host of angels including Udaipur Angel Network also participated in this Pre-Series A round and with this, the total fundraising of the company has crossed $2 Mn.

Zoctr caters to the end-to-end portfolio of home health services including Home ICU set-up, home nursing & attendant care, baby care and specialized cancer care.

Budget eyewear brand ClearDekho secures funds

Budget eyewear brand ClearDekho has raised Rs 2 crore in its pre-Series A round from incubation platform Venture Catalysts. Prominent investors such as Samyakth Capital, Windrose Capital, Krishnan Akhileswaran of Apollo Hospitals, and Yogesh Chaudhary also participated in the funding round.

With the fresh funding, the startup will scale up its market footprint, increase the team size and strengthen back-end operations. Besides, the startup also plans to expand its product portfolio and launch privatebrands in the budget category, reveals the press statement.

Startup sues Apple for $200,000 over a ‘stolen’ logo

Apple introduced its new Siri Shortcuts feature a week ago at the WWDC 2018 conference as a part of iOS 12. Within a week, the Cupertino-based tech firm has received a lawsuit from a startup that claims the former to have stolen a logo of the particular feature.

As mentioned by 9to5Mac, the lawsuit says that the Siri Shortcut logo has been copied from a startup called Shift that uses a blockchain-based technology to create new websites.

The lawsuit adds that either Apple stops using the particular logo or it can pay $200,000 (roughly Rs 1.3 crore) that will cover the cost to ‘rebrand using a world-renowned design firm.’
