During the New York Times DealBook conference in this week, the CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai said that his 11 year old son Kiran Pichai is mining the cryptocurrency Ethereum on the home computer which was built by Pichai.
He aforesaid, “Last week I was at dinner with my son, and I was talking about something about bitcoin and my son clarified what I was talking about was Ethereum, which is slightly different. He’s 11-years-old, and he told me he’s mining it.”
During the discussion about tech addiction and its importance of limiting the screen time for children.

He later confessed that he had to explain the workings of paper money to his son , who understood more about Ethereum that the nation’s monetary system. Pichai added, “I had to talk to him about the banking system, the importance of it. It was a good conversation.”
The co-founder pf Google, Sergey Brin also revealed that his son has mined Ethereum.
He said, “A year or two ago, my son insisted that we needed to get a gaming PC. I told him, ‘Okay, if we get a gaming PC, we have to mine cryptocurrency. So we set up an ethereum miner on there. We’ve made a few pennies, a few dollars,” he said jokingly.
