Superheroes are always remembered to venture their lives to defend people from overwhelming extraterrestrial catastrophes, corrupt scientists and unreasonable villains whose only mission is to destroy men and mankind.
But over the years, in all our prized comic books and astonishing movie adaptations, we have learned to relate with them on a more fundamental level that identifies them as rather humans surrounded by flaws and sometimes havoced in grief and yet strongly driven towards making things better just like the rest of us.
So here’re a few essential life lessons from each of our favourite comic-book superhero:
Batman explained to us the spirit of compassion and importance of forgiveness. Time and again he proved that being compassionate to your enemy does not mean you are weak, rather it shows your true strength. And that no hardship is as big as your sense of revenge and guilt of harming an innocent. He reflects the true meaning of justice and that an injustice can only be undone by placing truth and honesty. Batman also inspires us to be fearless and repeatedly symbolizes the strength of brains over brawns.
Being the fastest man alive, The Flash teaches us to move on. There might be things in past that you deeply regret or hate but to survive you must make peace with your past and move ahead. What’s written in the timeline must not be changed!
Oliver Queen teaches us that the worst situations in our life don’t change us rather they make us who we are. We must look at the debacles and darkness in our lives in a positive way as they teach us more than what the good times would ever do.
With great power comes great responsibility- Leaders know that they have a deep human commitment to use the gift of authority for the greater good of a world that they are a part of. If you mature as a powerful being, you can either use it for your own interest or you can be more sensible and make sure that the society to which you belong leads an immeasurable life.
What Seems Like Our Greatest Disappointments Are Often Our Greatest Opportunities – If you ever feel like you have lost everything, you may have been given the opportunity to gain something you would have never had previously.
Steve Rogers taught us the value of honesty and hard work. He is responsible, righteous and sweet- he is one idealistic superhero who forbears the power of strength and tells to be kind no matter how strong we are.
As Bruce Banner, he tried to suppress the demon in him but later he used that for the greater good. Hulk teaches us to channelize our negativity and disgraceful traits to establish our merit to the world.
The eternally beautiful and fascinating character of Wonder Woman teaches us to be truthful, kind and confident. She sticks to kindness and goodness of human beings and always helps people who need her aid without even taking a breath in.
The man of steel teaches us to be strong and resilient. He is a harbinger of hope and that just because none can defeat you doesn’t mean you will misuse your authority to suppress people who install their faith in you. His story makes us realize the value of adopting differences and respecting each other for that from the sense of loyalty and kindness that he carries for people who are not even his own.
