Coronavirus cases in India are rising now as 33 people have been tested positive for it. The Indian government is taking every essential step to stop this virus from spreading. Earlier some schools in Noida got closed down for a few days for sanitisation process. Companies in the IT sector have taken several steps to protect their employees from the coronavirus infection.
Moreover, these tech companies have adopted the work from home culture for an indefinite time now. Paytm office was closed for two days as one of the workers was tested positive for coronavirus.
HCL Technologies stated that it has now implemented a Disaster Relief Plan in the affected countries. As far as possible, HCL is supporting the employees. The company said it had regulated the work from the Home strategy and have released a circular. Earlier, micro-blogging site Twitter issued an order to their employees in different countries to work from home. Twitter has ordered Work From Home to its employees in Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.
At the same time, TCS spokesperson said that the company is working with all global, regional and local health institutions in this regard. Moreover, Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, tweeted about the work from home practice and have also tweeted about it.
A probe has been ordered for those employees returning from 13 countries including Iran, Singapore, China, Italy, France etc. In the notice, all the companies have been told that if any of their employees have gone abroad, they should be informed to the Health Department on their return to India.
Above all, in Delhi, 230 individual beds are arranged in hospitals for patients of coronavirus. The coronavirus has so far taken the lives of 3300 people worldwide, and cases have jumped more than one lakh now.
