Google is also in  talks with the other e commerce giants namely Flipkart, Snapdeal and Paytm Mall to be part of this shopping tab initiative.

Apart from the big players, Google is also planning the registered small and medium enterprises those range from the Kirana stores to the high-end handicraft stores for helping the users for finding the right products which they are actually looking for.
Just like the Images and the News tabs on Google, this Shopping tab will also allow the customers for sifting through the listings of various  websites for tbe desired products.
Users will also gain lots of control over the research with the help of Shopping Tab, as opposed to the present ‘product listing ads’ that Google puts out. They can, for example, put filters on their search and get more details of the product.
Google also runs a Shopping tab in more than 30 countries and has also reportedly seen a high degree of the conversions and high level engagement by its users in the markets.

Some experts even say that the Shopping tab is the precursor for the e-commerce marketplace Google might set up eventually.

It is like how Amazon launched price comparison website Junglee.com before foraying into e-commerce after it got consumer data. Google will also understand Indian shopping trends first through the Shopping tab,” a source said.

Google is also venturing into the product search as it has said to loose market share for Amazon on the product searches in United States that inadvertently translated for the fall in ad sales.

With the help of Prime programme of Amazon, it has built a strong network in the retail market of United States which makes it difficult for the other tech company for overpower.

At least 50 per cent of all the product seaches begin at Amazon in United States, and Google is also losing its shoppers due to this, that in turn also affected it ad revenue as per Arpan Seth, Partner at Brain and Company.
