How to apply for voter ID online?

• If you wish to apply for voter ID card online, one needs passport size photographs, birth certificate, pan card, and address proof.
• Log into National Voter’s Service Portal and click on the button for “Apply online for registration of new voter/due to shifting from AC”.
• A Form 6 application form will open in a new tab. This form will be available in Hindi so make sure you change the language from top commands.
• You need to enter all the basic details and must have attained an age of 18 years by January 1, 2019.

How to check the voter ID status?

• After submitting the form will all the basic details, your details will appear on the notice board of Electoral Registration Officer (ERO). After a week, the name of the candidate will be listed on the electoral roll and the registered user will even get an SMS on the registered mobile number.
• To review the status of your form after filing it, just click on the tracking page and enter your reference ID.
• If it shows it as processed, you can alternatively visit the electoral search portal and plug in your details to explore. Once your result can be found there, you’re eligible to vote.
