Swiggy has announced the exit of its co-founder Rahul Jaimini as the company’s chief technology officer. However, he would remain on the board of Swiggy and retain his shares. Moreover, his previous tasks will get handled by Dale Vaz, Head of Engineering and Data Science.
Remembering his tenure at Swiggy, Jaimini stated, “The last six years at Swiggy were undoubtedly one of the best years ever. With a big goal to disrupt the food delivery industry and changing the country’s way eat was a great experience.”
Jaimini founded Swiggy in 2014 in association with Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy. As an integral part of the founding team, he was effective in building the company’s technical skills, overseeing its growth over the years.
Rahul will now join Pesto Tech, a technology education company startup, as its co-founder. According to his LinkedIn profile, before Swiggy, Jaimini worked with Myntra for two years, as a senior software engineer led a small team called Conversion Labs, which provided end-to-end revenue-boosting at Myntra.com and was responsible for delivering the project.
