NBA All Set To Be Hosted In India With Its India’s First Ever Floating Basketball Court.

Mumbai is all set to host NBA on 4th and 5th October. The Gateway of India has been decorated for the start of NBA India Games 2019. The theme of lights has also been kept on the NBA. It is hosting two pre-season matches for the first time in Mumbai on 4 and 5 October. Both these matches will be played between Sacramento Kings of and Indiana Pacers. American League teams are playing the matches in India for the first time.

From October 1 to 3, people will be able to experience the spirit of NBA India Games 2019 through India’s first floating basketball court near Bandra-Worli Sealink. Hip-hop artists Broda V, Shah Niyam, Madurai Soljor, Miba Ofilia and Frenzy will make the soundtrack for the campaign. The pre-season matches will be broadcast on Sony Ten-1 and Ten-3 at 6:30 pm. It will launch a grassroots community, youth basketball, and development program that will impact the lives of thousands of Mumbai’s youth, teachers, coaches, and families.

The NBA India Games 2019 campaign ‘NBA in My Backyard’ was launched on 27th September. For the match to be held on October 5, a large number of tickets were sold on the first day. 3,000 children from 70 schools are coming under the Reliance Foundation Junior Program to watch this match.

US President Donald Trump even commented on this event that ‘NBA basketball is going to happen in India soon. Next month, people will gather in Mumbai to watch the first basketball match. Be careful, I can come to India. Trump said, ‘We are determined that Indians get the world’s best services and products. Indians will soon get access to the basketball. NBA basketball is going to happen in India soon. Next month, people will gather in Mumbai to watch the first NBA match.

Above all, NBA Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer Mark Tatum said, ‘We are proud that under the Reliance Foundation Junior NBA Program we are going to have an NBA match for the first time in India. We believe in Reliance Foundation’s dream of a game-changing power and ability to enhance the imagination of children and such historical events will inspire the youth of the country in the coming years.
