Delhi Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) website was hacked on Thursday. Hackers changed many pages of the website and added beef pics, and dishes. The word BEEF was been added to many places on the main page. For example, instead of knowing about BJP, beef was informed. BJP history was changed to Beef history.
This attack of hacking took place when the Narendra Modi government was taking the oath of office in New Delhi’s Rashtrapati Bhavan. The website was hacked by Shadow_V1P3R. Initially, the website was hacked and the photograph of beef on full screen was inserted. Although the home page was later fixed, the beef can be seen in the menu till late at night.
The website was not back online even till the oath ceremony was completed. When people tried to open the website this message was displayed: We will be back soon! Sorry for the inconvenience, but we are doing some maintenance right now. We’ll be coming online soon! French cybersecurity researcher Elliott Elderson tweeted it with his Twitter account. He has written that BJP’s second page that has been hacked. On one\hand, Narendra Modi was taking the oath of Prime Minister for the second time and on the other side, Delhi BJP website has been hacked. The entire menu of the website was changed by hackers and beef was written everywhere on the menu.
Earlier in March 2019, the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) website was hacked. Hackers hacked the website and they wrote inappropriate messages on it. After this, the ruling party immediately acted on it and then the error 522 on the website started coming. BJP’s official website, http://www.bjp.org/, was showing error 522.
